Job Summary:
The Big Buy Super Store is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Internal Audit Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for conducting audits, evaluating internal controls, identifying
operational risks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and
procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or
a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience in Internal Audit, preferably in the Retail Industry
(mandatory).
Strong knowledge of audit procedures, inventory controls, cash management, and
compliance practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit reporting.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular operational, financial, and inventory audits across store
locations.
Review internal controls and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and
reduce risks.
Verify compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory
requirements.
Investigate discrepancies, shortages, and potential fraud cases.
Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
Follow up on audit observations and ensure timely implementation of corrective
actions.
Assist management in developing risk mitigation strategies.
